Personal Spiritual Retreats for Women
Connect with your heart, spiritual philosophy, a clean lifestyle, and bhakti yoga mentorship with Malini devi dasi.
Receive sacred space for your spiritual life
During the retreat, you will get the opportunity to explore and experience a proven scientific process for self-realization. Whether you are familiar with, have had some exposure, or are a very seasoned practitioner of bhakti-yoga, we are here to support you on your path of devotion to God. We are happy to host you for a day, a week, a month, or even a few months.
5am – 9:30am
Includes singing of devotional songs, mantra meditation, and group discussion of scripture.
Often from 6pm – 7:30pm
Includes singing of devotional songs and spiritual reading.
A central part of the Bhakti Yoga Retreat experience is chanting the names of God. There are many names of God, across different spiritual traditions. The names we will chant are in the Hare Krishna Maha-Mantra:
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama Hare Hare
A false conception is that women do not ever speak about philosophy, and although it is rare, this woman’s group provides a sacred space for us to defy the norms. Enjoy the process of having ancient philosophical principles fully explained and your questions answered in an inclusive and safe environment. Everybody is always respected for their opinions and encouraged to share their experience with loving support.
Depending on your needs and skill level, you can be engaged in cooking, learning how to cook, and learning how to honor the blessing of God’s food for us. We occasionally host small cooking classes. I can share health conscious tips as well!
We will learn and sing different devotional songs in the bhakti tradition. I can teach you how to play harmonium, kartals, or mrdanga. Kirtan means to glorify God. We will do kirtan in a way that meets you where you are at.
All retreats include a minimum of one session per week or per retreat if the retreat is less than one week.
You will receive undivided attention to express what is happening for you during your retreat.
Barefoot Forest Baths
This is a personal passion of mine. Grounding to Mother Earth is healing and I’ll be glad to take you on barefoot walks through the field and wood!
There are community events with sincere seekers such as yourself. You can be assured that your sacred retreat is enhanced by community association.
Visit Local Nature
I like to visit nature regularly in order to take care of the mind and body. We can co-create nature visits according to your wishes.
A Simple Ashram Life
With healthy vegetarian meals and simple accomodations, you will be able to focus on the spirit.
There is no set fee for the retreat. At the same time, there are suggested minimum donations: 1 day: $108, 2 days: $195, 3 days: $250, 1 week: $350. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
For Newcomers Interested in the Yoga of Love…
To those who are constantly devoted and worship Me with love, I give the understanding by which they can come to Me.
— Bhagavad-gita 10.10
Newcomers to bhakti-yoga get the opportunity to explore and experience a proven scientific process for self-realization. Whether you are familiar with, have had some exposure, or are a very seasoned practitioner of bhakti-yoga, we are here to support you on your path of devotion to God.
Maybe you landed on this page because you are intrigued by the Yoga of Love, or bhakti-yoga. Maybe you have had experience with one of the practices of bhakti-yoga - mantra meditation, communal singing, or delicious sanctified food. Maybe you have met someone who practices bhakti-yoga and are moved and inspired by his or her example. And you also want to live your life with a similar level of purpose, inspiration, and love.
The Bhakti Yoga Retreat is a space for you to fully dive into the experience of bhakti-yoga through regulated practice. You are ready to give a week, or several weeks, to your spiritual life to explore your deepest questions and live a life of purity and divine connection.
For Students with Some Exposure or Practice…
Rising very early before dawn, He left and went off to a deserted place, where He prayed.
— Mark 1:35
Establishing a routine spiritual practice in our life, or daily sadhana, supports us to maintain a certain level of spiritual absorption and connection. You are looking to experience a full immersion in the daily practice of bhakti-yoga and to see what is available for you in terms of taking these practices into your life. The retreat includes spiritual coaching where you will have an opportunity to express yourself – what is happening for you, where your heart is at, and what are your successes and realizations. We will explore the next steps in your spiritual journey and establish what will work for you according to your lifestyle and what you desire.
For Bhakti Yogis, Seasoned Practitioners…
Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me.”
— Psalms 51:11
Life happens. You have been on the path of bhakti-yoga for many years, and maybe you have lost touch with your sadhana and with a deeper sense of inspiration in your spiritual life. Your heart’s desire is to reconnect with the bliss of Krishna Consciousness and let go of the numbness, pain, and self-judgment.
You want to be inspired and connected again, in a very personal and safe space. This retreat is about you and your relationship with Krishna.
In spiritual community there is a common phenomenon of many wearing the “spiritual mask.” You have come to realize that you want to find your own personal self, no mask. You want to step forward in life with authenticity and confidence to create meaningful and worthwhile goals.
I have a soft space in my heart for you. I am ready to create a safe and nurturing cocoon to cradle you in your spiritual quest, and I will provide a strong and loving sadhana structure and a nonjudgmental space to dive into practice in a spacious way. I am ready to serve you and support your heart’s desire in this retreat from the world.
